Youth Atkinson Dinner

The youth of St. Andrew’s prepared a chili dinner for the Atkinson Center on Saturday, March 15, 2025. They met in the kitchen in the afternoon, and over the next two and a half hours, they prepared 8 pounds of chili, 4 trays of brownies, and 4 trays  of cornbread to be delivered with rolls, butter, drinks, and handmade cards of support to Atkinson Men’s Shelter of Coatesville.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this outreach dinner a success for our youth. I would especially like to thank Heather Dale and John and Susan Frommer, who took care of the final cleanup and delivery of our dinner. The youth can not make this delicious meal without everyone’s donations of supplies and time, thank you!

Junior Church Lenten Project

On Sunday, March 23, 2025 our Sunday school classes and youth combined forces to stuff 430 goodie bags for the Operation 143 Backpack Program. These Easter goodie bags included candy, a salty snack, a fun item/toy, and an Easter greeting. Our assembly line system got the job done quickly and efficiently all while having fun together. Thank you to our amazing kids and those who donated all the yummy treats and fun toys. These goodie bags will be an extra Easter treat in addition to the food that is provided to students of 31 schools in surrounding schools who are food insecure to help them succeed over the Easter holiday.

Garden Planting and VBS

Our Sunday school classes will be planting cold weather crops in the community garden on April 6th and that means we are one step closer to summer!

Longer days full of warm sunshine and lots of time to play and rest. I hope you

will consider joining us this summer at the Road Trip VBS from July 21st-24th

here at St. Andrew’s. We are now taking names of those adults and youth

(6th grade and up) who are interested in joining in the fun at Vacation Bible

School. We will meet daily from 9:00 am -12:00 pm. Parents, be on the lookout

for registration to begin later this month. Registration will available online

and with paper forms outside the Upper Hall. We can’t wait to spend this week of summer together having fun while remembering God is with us wherever we may go. Please contact Kristy Campagna at kristy@standrewschesco.org to join in the fun or if you have any questions.

Egg Stuffing

All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to to Smith Hall on Sunday, April 13 to stuff over 500 easter eggs for our egg hunt. This fun fellowship event is complete with a morning snack, although I will admit not all the candy ends up in the eggs as our teens love to taste test it for our kids. I look forward to seeing you there.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Please join us for our annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at 11:30am in the Upper Hall. All children up to grade 6 are invited to attend, so feel free to bring a friend or your family members along with you on Easter!

Are you too old to hunt for eggs? Our 7th grade-adults are invited to help hide the eggs for our kids at 9:15am on Easer Sunday. Due to the morning dew we recommend that you bring your dress shoes for the service and wear your sneakers for the hiding throughout our graveyard and playground areas. We hope you will join us for this fun fellowship event as we all work together to make our Egg hunt fun and challenging for our younger kids.
