Dear Church Family,
September marks the return to Sunday school, the start up of regular coffee hour and the launch of our church program year. With that in mind, Fellowship is preparing to celebrate the end of summer and our kick-off with a Parish Picnic. We’ve held the picnic at different times of the year, but it seems fitting this year to combine it with our launch and ministry fair to all gather together, catch-up, and consider all of the good things that God is doing in our church and in our lives. I’d like to invite you to come to the combined 10 am service on Sunday, September 10th and stay for lunch. We will have the grill fired up to cook hot dogs and hamburgers and you help bring the side dishes, desserts, and drinks. I always love to sample and savor the delicious recipes that everyone makes for us! It’s a good time for all ages. Come with your chair or blanket to sit outside or use one of our folding chairs (weather permitting). Please click here to sign-up and bring something to share.
SAVE THE DATE We will come together again inside the Upper Hall on Sunday, October 22nd from 5-8pm for an Adult Wine Dinner featuring the wines of the Finger Lakes region. Geoff McConnell, our resident wine expert, will pick the featured wines and food that pairs nicely with the wine. More details to follow.
This is a great time to join me and other members on the Fellowship team. We have fun things in store for this year and we’d love for you to be a part of it. No matter how much or little time and commitment you have to give we can give you a part to play. Fellowship is so important to growing our church, helping each other and deepening our care and concern for each other.
I hope to see you all at the Parish Picnic, if not before.
Julia Sanders
