Fellowship

Dear Friends,

If you missed our Fellowship dinner you missed a good time! We had a lot of fun at the Adult Dinner Party on October 22nd. We had 48 people in attendance, which was a full house! What made the event really special was that we had friends from the 8 o’clock and the 10 o’clock services together, and old and new parishioners and guests. Everyone enjoyed the food from Limoncello and Bucktown Grazing and the apple pies from Highland Orchards. Guests also enjoyed the delightful music from the talents of pianist Ben Pessognelli from West Chester University - thank you to Audrey Drennen for connecting us. Ken and Mary Louise Mancini led us in a fun competition of “trivia night” that left us with our minds doing backflips. Congrats to Table 5 for their high level of intelligence in figuring out the answers and taking home the prize.

It’s always special to learn something about the wine you are drinking and Geoff McConnell shared lots of good information about the wine from the Finger Lakes. Geoff generously donated the wine and we received that donation happily by drinking 19 bottles over the course of the evening! Thank you Geoff and Pam for your generosity, kindness and help in making this event a success. I’m sure all in attendance would agree that it was so nice to be together and enjoy a fall evening over great food and wine. I was impressed at how many helping hands jumped in to help with clean-up. By the time I left, the Upper Hall looked like nothing had happened! Thank you to Tiffany Zuch who did battle at the sink with endless dishes and Kim and Doug Pratt and Susan Harvard who dried and put things away, among other things. Many hands went into general clean-up and I’m so grateful to all of you for your help. There are too many to name, so please know your good deeds did not go unnoticed!

Coffee Hour

We have some special coffee hours coming up including our Family Meeting on November 12th, which will feature lunch, St. Andrew’s Day on November 26th, which is hosted by the Altar Guild and December 3rd, which is a combined effort with family ministries that includes cookies and hot cocoa whilst trimming the Christmas tree.

I currently need a volunteer for November 19th to host coffee hour and also volunteers for December. Please click here to sign up. Please consider volunteering! We are always looking for help for our Fellowship, Evangelism and Membership Committees, so reach out to me if you would like to get involved. We are looking for any small commitments.
