Cleaning Up for Spring

The month of April was quite productive, thanks in large part to the Boy Scouts of Troop 220 who did the “heavy lifting” during the 2024 Spring Clean-up on Saturday April 27. They worked to remove weeds and debris from flower beds around the church, and with the assistance of Lee Johnson and his front-end loader, they made short work of spreading 14 cubic yards of mulch. Thanks to the Scouts, their leaders and families, and to Lee for all the great work.

This was also a month in which a number of items were “cleaned up” from our To-Do list. These included replacing a failed thermostat in a classroom, replacing the lock on the Parish Office door, hosting the PA DEP inspection of our water and septic system, and re-caulking the leaking windows in the narthex. There’s rarely a shortage of things to do in our vintage church.

If you have any comments or suggestions about our property or buildings, or if you’d like to lend a hand on a project, I’d love to hear from you.
